Sedaro Selected for $45M STRATFI to Scale Enterprise Mission Engineering for the U.S. Space Force

Building a persistent mission-engineering backbone for Space Force integration and analysis.

Sedaro Selected for $45M STRATFI to Scale Enterprise Mission Engineering for the U.S. Space Force

Sedaro today announced that it has been selected for a Strategic Funding Increase (STRATFI) opportunity by the Air Force Research Laboratory's SpaceWERX, the innovation arm of the U.S. Space Force. Under the selection, Sedaro will expand and accelerate Space Systems Command's (SSC) ability to analyze increasingly complex defense architectures and dynamic missions. The effort will scale the Space Systems Integration Office's (SSIO) System-of-Systems Engineering (SoSE) Platform to support additional programs, organizations, and workflows.

The initial effort represents up to $45 million in combined program funding, including STRATFI funding and additional U.S. Government investment led by SSIO. Built on Sedaro's scalable cloud infrastructure and designed around open interfaces and Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) principles, the SoSE Platform allows Government and industry contributors to integrate, extend, and evolve the models, workflows, and capabilities they steward within a shared enterprise environment. This enables mission-level analysis of how systems and capabilities developed across programs and organizations perform together under representative mission conditions.

The STRATFI builds on Sedaro's existing work with SSIO and prior Space Force digital-engineering efforts. A core objective is to create a connected mission-engineering ecosystem where validated models, workflows, standards, and integrations can be contributed, composed, and reused across organizational boundaries.

This STRATFI is a significant validation of Sedaro's approach to enterprise mission engineering. We are building on our work in demanding Space Force applications to establish collaborative operational infrastructure that can support more missions, more organizations, and more consequential decisions across the national security space enterprise.

STRATFIs act as a force multiplier for SSIO's enterprise integration mission, bringing greater scale, speed, and rigor to the processes that deliver new integrated capabilities for the warfighter. It also positions the capability for Phase III transition and sustained non-SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) Government funding.
