Sedaro partners with SDL and Draper to bring enhanced ISAM modeling to the Sedaro cloud engineering platform.
Arlington, VA -- Sedaro has been awarded a Phase II Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) through the AFWERX technology directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to develop enhanced In-space Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing (ISAM) capabilities in the Sedaro platform. Sedaro is receiving $1.5M for the STTR Phase II effort.
Sedaro will be teaming with research institutions Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) of Logan, UT and Charles Stark Draper Labs (Draper Labs) of Cambridge, MA to develop, test, and integrate ISAM capabilities in the Sedaro digital twin platform. During the 15-month period of performance, Sedaro will add capabilities such as relative motion and attitude sensors & estimators, docking, refueling, and multi-segment manipulators to spacecraft agents in the software. SDL and Draper Labs will assist Sedaro with technical design and implementation, and utilize the Sedaro platform to model representative ISAM scenarios the research institutions are working on.
